Our Vision

Our vision is to bring innovative solutions for the analysis of dynamic MRI data and provide diagnostic decision support. Our fully-automated systems are built to counteract the limitations of traditional qualitative and user-dependent data processing and evaluation, to eliminate human bias from the data analysis and drive up the level of accuracy. Our customers benefit from the reduction of the reading and interpretation time and increase in patient’s throughput.

Dynamic Contrast - Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DCE-MRI)

DCE-MRI has become increasingly important in both research and clinical studies aiming at measuring the magnitude and spread of inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis studies, tumours condition in breast or brain cancer studies, degree of perfusion in cardiac images.

DCE-MRI measures the changes in the rate of relaxation of water, proportional to the concentrations of the contrast agent (usually Gd-DTPA) and allows the evaluation of functional changes in cross-sectional images down to a pixel-by-pixel level. DCE-MRI provides non-invasive physiological information relevant for contrast agent distribution and tissue perfusion. Measurements of the tissue’s vascularity allow a trained radiologist to make conclusions on a patient's condition and disease progression.

When trying to assess the extent of inflammation caused by inflammatory diseases, radiologists can take up to one hour to read and evaluate a sequence of up to 300 separate images. . Each image in the sequence has small intensity differences, representing relative uptake of a contrast agent in the affected tissue. Interpreting this large amount of data is done manually, which is a complex, time-consuming and - although undertaken by experienced radiologists - highly subjective method. The role of quantitative image analysis and fully automated techniques such as inflammation maps (iMAPs) in the evaluation of drug therapy and patient diagnosis is steadily increasing. This is driven by attempts to reduce the time and cost of the trials and eliminate significant intra- and inter-observer variability around the measurements obtained from manual analysis of large MRI datasets.

Inflammation Maps (iMAPs)

Our software utilises advanced mathematical models, which allow the fast and objective analysis of dynamic MR series and a convenient way of visualising and presenting the results. The process takes into account many variable factors that affect the clarity of MR datasets, such as the physical tremor associated with rheumatoid arthritis patients, breathing artifacts, and the strength of the MRI equipment. Any patient motion is corrected, so a radiologist is presented with the best possible data. The software eliminates irrelevant tissues such as background and central blood vessels, which can complicate the interpretation of the data. Finally, we apply statistical methods and visualisation techniques to present the outcome of the examination in a compact and easy-to-analyse form.

The software helps a trained radiologist to make a decision on a patient's condition or disease progression in seconds - using this quantitative robust and fast way to analyse the data, radiologists will achieve more reliable, objective and easily reproducible results.   The software was tested on datasets acquired with low and high field scanners, from different body parts, using various pulse sequences (GRE, SE), which proves its portability and versatility. It is observer-independent, which permits the generation of easily reproducible and objective results. The results were evaluated through an extensive validation study and viewed favourably by a number of clinical experts and trained human observers.

Our software is available as a subscription-based service or as an annual license purchase. It includes various tools to help radiologists to optimize their routine practices. The customer will undergo initial consultation, where we jointly identify their needs and decide on the most appropriate package and ways of collaboration. We can install software on your machine or evaluate your data using our own equipment. We of course provide the guidance, training, and personalized support necessary for the successful adoption of these new technologies. In the subscription plan, all updates and upgrades are delivered at no extra charge to our clients.
